This Venetian Oak lumber and veneer was produced from Oak pilings salvaged from the lagoon of Venice. The holes and canals they create in the oak are caused by a species of saltwater clam, (Teredo navalis), a mollusk that feeds on wood pilings. The holes and canals they leave in this wood create one of a kind pieces of art, or as I call it WOOD PORN. Add one piece to a project or use it for the whole project, or simply use it as a piece of art in your home.
