Irish Oak Burr (Burl)
This amazing brown Irish Oak Burr #1767 & 1768 came from the Shanes Castle in Antrim, Northern Ireland and is FSC certified. The castle stands on the northwest corner of the Lough Neagh. The Oak Burr (Burl) was so big it had to be cut in half to move it and get it into a container to be shipped to our yard. It yielded small and large flitches and everything in between. It has beautiful burl figure with good color and was all cut to 10/4 thickness. They are dry now and for sale. This huge oak burr has plenty of history. If it could only tell the stories.
